Berlin Airlift--USAFE's C-54 Globemaster landed at the Gatow
Air Field in Berlin, Germany, with 20 tons of flour to help supply blockaded Berlin. This is the first time a plane of this type has been in the European Command and it is not expected to make a
scheduled run to Berlin. The flour is loaded into semi-trailers.
