The Chapel

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork...
(Psalm 19:1 KJV)

Lately there've been yet more chapters written in the long-standing conflict between science and religion.  Somehow, to me the debate seems pointless--both contribute to our understanding of the universe, yet ask different questions about fundamentally different issues.  Each has much to learn from the other: as Einstein put it, "science without religion is foolish; religion without science is blind."  Absolutists on both sides may disagree with me, and they are entitled to their opinions.  However, if we are to follow the command of Christ to honor God with our minds as well as our hearts and souls we must be willing to engage the physical as well as the spiritual.  This secluded (yet very important) section of the site is meant to reflect my ongoing search for Truth.  While salvation is free, the quest for truth and wisdom takes a little bit of work!

To ease you in this process, here's a very important site.  The teaching here is among the best I've ever heard!  In order to take full advantage of it, however, you need RealPlayer 2.0 or higher.  Download it for free here!

If you need a copy of God's Word, you can download one here! Many thanks to the ever-helpful Starcat for informing me of this link!

Here's a link to Footprints, a devotional page by Krystina, creator of Krystina's Galaxy, for further inspiration!

And finally, for a more universalist approach to ethics, visit the Josephson Institute of Ethics This non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting standards of moral and ethical conduct which transcend all religious and cultural bounds.

I will be adding more to this site as I find more good stuff.  For now, may Christ's love be with you!
