For a brief description, drag the cursor over the corresponding picture. The tanks above were the only tanks available to Rommel during his French and Desert Campaigns. Actually, he didn't have the Panther or Tiger tanks until Normandy, and he usually had more of the PzkwI's and II's throughout his early campaigns which makes his exploits that much more impressive. In case you can't read the Tiger joke it says "Even though 1 Tiger takes out 10 Shermans, there is always that 11th Sherman." It was more than likely more of a German joke expressing the production capabilities of the U.S.A. Another variation is "Even though our 1 Tiger takes out 10 of your Shermans, you always have that 11th Sherman to take it out." This joke would make more sense, because the first one would be extremely detrimental to morale.
