The members present at the March 17, 1999 meeting held at the Hodgdon High School were: Kristy Brooker, Midel Scott, Shirely Wallace, Darcey Wallace, Shelly Gross, DeWayne Morse, and Sara Drouin.
We have been formalizing a plan to give out a 1,000 dollar grant or two 500 dollar grants to a non-profit organization in the Houlton/Hodgdon area. So far we have been working on advertising it. Darcey Wallace brought a number to call to advertise on hte local channel on TV but nobody volunteered so that could be crossed off from the list to do. Kristy Brooker will do a PSA (Public Service Anouncement> at out local radio station (WHOU). Sara Drouin and Darcey Wallace have hung up some flyers around town and by next meeting Kristy Brooker and Midel Scott will have hung up some more. We would like to put a news bulletin up in the paper (Houlton Pioneer Times) but until we find out about money that Wendy Stewart's mother has to spend on advertisements then that is put on hold. The questions for the application has been typed up by Sara Drouin and were given to our advisor, Jessica Schuab last Monday. There is still question on what we are going to do for Kick Butts Day and really has to ne discussed soon! The next meeting has been decided to be at Shelly Gross's house to make pizza and have fun for all the work that has been accomplished!
