There is a ton of information that I have gathered and there is no way that I could include it all in this page (all individuals, dates, locations, etc.). I intend to start out with the basics and perhaps later, get into a few specifics. My aunt, who got me addicted to genealogy, will probably fall out of her computer chair when she sees HOW basic my info on this site is. | Dad's Side (Donald Gene Roadenbaugh, Sr.) | ||||||||||||||||||||

His parents were Henry Allen Roadenbaugh and Harriet May Cowan. They had 8 other children, including Ruby, Geraldine, Virgil, Betty, Raymond, Henry Jr., Darlene, and Donna. Henry Allen's parents were Israel Jacob Roadenbaugh (also known as Jacob) and Ida May Arbogast. Henry had 7 other brothers and sisters including Austin, Belton, Beulah, Minnie, Mazie, Mable, and Sylvia. Jacob was a farmer in Kansas, but it is said that he moved to Kansas from Pennsylvania where his name was originally spelled Rodenbach. Harriet's parents were William John Cowan and Ida May Ann Stowell. Ida May's parents were Alfred E. Stowell and Lydia Mariah Blaksley. William John's parents were Robert Cowan and Nancy Agnes Robb. Robert's mother was Sarah McJeante (spelling may be different). This is where the history gets interesting. Nancy's mother was Mary Ann Stuart, of the House of Stuart in England. The legend is that she was a lady-in-waiting or a princess and was disowned for running away with Robert, a commoner. A note says that a family artifact connects her with the Royal Palace on the day that Queen Victoria was born. I hope to prove this legend! | |||||||||||||||||||

Her parents are William Burt Cooper and Eva Dessie Purvis. William's parents are Charles Andrew Cooper and Georgia Annabelle Smith. Charles' parents were James F. Cooper and Myrtle Rose Smith. James' parents were Charles Allen Cooper and Arminda Brown. Eva's parents are Matthew Cyrus Purvis and Iva Pearl Thompson. Iva's parents are James Hughy Thompson and Geneva Minerva Porter. Matthew's parents were Hugh Hezekiah Purvis and Rhoda Hale Strickland. Hugh's parents were George H. Purvis and Betsy. Rhoda's parents were Effington Strickland and Arrena Cecelia Barrett. | |||||||||||||||||||
