Summary

. This novel talked about a black Georgia girl, Celie, she is uneducated, and she is writing exactly as she speaks and the most distinctive characteristic about Celie’s letters is their naturalness. Her father has raped her, and she "absorbs" her husband, Albert’s brutal violence. She revolts. She erupts, cursing her husband, and she leaves him to go to Memphis and find happiness with a woman who loves her. She struggled for many years, keeping alive the memory of Nettie, who is her lovely sister. And finally she finds out her real life.
