Hi, everyone. My name is Rong Ling You. I came from China. I have been here for 3 years already. Now, I'm a junior in Murry Bergtraum High School. I met lot friends in school. Before I lived in NYC, I had lived in New Jersey for half year. New York City is a very good place to live, but I still miss my native country a lot. The difference between China and the U.S. is in China, we need to pay for doing anything, anywhere. We get many benefits here. Chinatown in NYC is not so clean, that's what I dislike. If I could live anywhere in NYC, I would like to live in some place located near by the ocean.
Everyday, I walk to school. I get a part-time job after school and the weekend. My favorite subject is computer, and I joined a club which is named Conflict Mediation, I think it will help me to get more friends and improve my graduation, I hope that I can go to a good college. I always like to finish my homework first, and then I read some books and take a rest. The best I have ever read is named Born in Shame by Nora Roberts. Also, when I get free time, I will spend all my time on watching TV and shopping with my friends. Sometimes, I will go to see movies, because American movies are so great, and music, TV shows are pretty good, too. Especially the mysterious and scary shows which I like the most. Music has several types. For example, pop, blues, jazz, and classical are all my favors. They make me feel so comfortable when I am listening to them. My favorite musical performers are Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees. I like them so much. The best movie I have ever seen is Alien III. If I could own only one possession, it would be a computer. My father promised me that I could get one in this month. I'm so excited. When summer is approaching, I like swimming every day, I'm going to become fitter through swimming. These things that I mention above are all my hobbies.
I have a dream which is I hope I can go to Japan. In my mind, Japan is a "Shopping Heaven". I could imagine myself living in Tokyo. And I shop a lot. I know if I really want to reach this goal, I should get a career first, then I will get money for going to Japan. Now, the only thing I can do is try my best to receive more knowledge, be a businesswoman in the future, and also be successful!
