My schedule could only work out to where I had to skip AP Calculus AB and take AP Calculus BC. What's the difference you ask? Simple. Here's what Mr. Pickens said on the first day of class:
Say there is material to learn. We divide this material up into sections A, B and C. In AP Calculus AB, you learn the material in sections A and B. In AP Calculus BC, you learn the same material B, and new material C. The material B learned again is in a bit more depth.
That makes sense...think about it. I can really feel the fact that I skipped Calculus AB though. I don't really recommend doing that. Develop the good foundation by taking AB.
Overall speaking...it's not that bad. Don't expect everyday to be fun and exciting, but the atmosphere of the class is really relaxed which helps learning [in my opinion], and some days make you glad you took BC [i.e. days when we have a substitute].
About the Test
Okay, so this website is taking a bit more time to finish than I expected. I don't really have the time/energy right now so I'll update this section once I get around to it.
