Rome

Off the ship and onto a train towards Rome

We chilled out a bit in the Vatican

Some of the most beautiful buildings, artwork, ceilings, it was all art

St. Peter's Basilica was of the most fascinating buildings I've been in, with the huge pillars and archways, wonderful paintings, and Michaelangelo statues

Much of Vatican City was under restoration, though, so we were a bit restricted

We stopped at the Coliseum, of course, but it was really showing its age, unlike the basilica

The Roman Forum was just like walking through the stories in history

The Spanish Steps attracted a somewhat younger crowd pf musicians, artists, and some tourists

To Florence and Pisa
