Florence and Pisa

We strolled through the thin streets of Florence in search of the Duomo

And we finally found it, a beautiful old cathedral inviting us to climb to the top

The view was amazing

And we couldn't believe that Joan and her daughter were atop the nearby bell tower!

Gelati, of course, was a must after climbing so many steps. I think this was my fourth time eating gelati that day

We found David after a long search, hidden in a small museum on a side street

I felt bad after a while, though, because nobody ever looked at David's butt! We refocused everyone's attention on his ass, and people were quite astounded at the artistry back there

The next morning we were up bright and early for another museum

Noel and I took the art very seriously...

This art museum had a fabulous view of the Duomo

Now this is the Italy I anticipated

We heard a rumor that someone calculated that the leaning tower of Pisa would fall in 27 years, so we thought it would be a good idea to see it.

We went back to Rome that night. We thought we'd do some pope-watching the next morning.

To Some More Rome, and The Pope
