    Annual General Meeting
    Thursday, 2000 Jan 27, 7 pm

    1.    2000 UOV RFC Executive
    *    President:                Colin Richardson
    *    Fixtures Secretary           Al Bakewell (back

    *    Treasurer              John Boos until
 Lorne Warawa returns
    *    Membership Secretary       Neil Cairney (creation of
 membership list, registration of players and collection of dues)
    *    Junior Development           Paul Tonner and Neil
 Cairney
    *    Social and Communications       Neil Watts (organize
 parties, write newspaper articles)
 
    2.    Financial Report (John Boos)
    *    No debts left from previous years (congrats to Lorne and
 Alan B)
    *    Shots donated $300 last year (congrats Dan and Lorne)
    *    $231 in CIBC account
    *    $245 in cash box
    *    ACTION 1: Tony to withdraw all $600 from old account and
 give to Alan for deposit in CIBC
    *    Total cash assets going in to this season are 231+245+600 =
 $1076
    *    ACTION 2:  Al Bakewell to sign up Colin Richardson and John
 Boos as co-signators on account
    *    ACTION 3:  Neil Cairney to prepare membership list with
 phone numbers and dues status for last year and this year
    *    ACTION 4:  Neil Cairney to attempt to collect from those
 still owing for last year or declare uncollectable
    *    Dues are $100 (men), $50 (juniors)
    *    ACTION 5:  Neil Cairney will collect at least $30 from each
 player before that player plays his first game
 
    3.    Winter Training
    *    Target day/time:  6:30 pm, Sunday evening
    *    Target start date:  2000 February 27
    *    ACTION 6:  Paul Tonner to check on using Panet, Fellowes or
 Bishop Gym
    *    ACTION 6 Report:  Panet and Fellowes Gym will cost ½ day
 janitor (about $60) per evening.  Rick Klatt is checking on Bishop.  Could
 be cheaper.
    *    ACTION 7:  Colin Richardson to check on Y101 availability
    *    Other or additional training days and times will be
 considered
   *    Forces may go to South Africa to play Rugby in late Feb:
 hope it happens and good luck if it does
 
    4.    Equipment
    *    ACTION 8:  Paul Tonner to pick up UOV shirts and drop off at
 seamstress to see what can be salvaged and for repairs
    *    ACTION 8 Report:  Done:  looks like 16 are OK
    *    ACTION 9:  Paul Tonner to order and pay for 14 new jerseys
    *    ACTION 10:  Paul Tonner to order and pay for 14 crests
    *    ACTION 11:  Paul Tonner to pay for putting crests on jerseys
    *    ACTION 12:  Paul Tonner to sell crested jerseys at cost
    *    ACTION 13:  Tony Brooker to buy a good game ball
 
    5.    Spring Tournament
    *    ACTION 14:  Tony Brooker to chair the Spring Touranment
    *    Target Date discussed at meeting: Saturday, 2000 April 28
    *    (Note:  subsequent to this meeting found out 2000 April 28
 is also the date of the Branford Tournament)
    *    Tony Brooker to contact clubs to evaluate tournament options
 
    6.    Women's team
    *    ACTION 15:  Paul Tonner to contact Rick Klatt about coaching
 a womens team
    *    ACTION 15 Report:  As anticipated, Rick will be running
 spring training for Bishops girls for spring tour and regional
 championships but is not able to coach a womens club side
 
    7.    Miscellaneous
    *    It was agreed that field fees of $1 per person be collected
 from visiting team but not from our own players
    *    Any shortfall in covering field fees on the day to be paid
 for out of cash
 
    Season Schedule
    *    Al Bakewell will be in touch with the league planners
 concerning the season schedule
    *    It was agreed that something should be done about the fall
 season:  too much money for too many defaults
    *    The league is aware of the problem and will try to correct
 it
 
 
    8.    Junior Development
 
    *    It was agreed to run a junior team at least for a few games
 even if turn-out is poor, in the hopes that turn-out will improve with
 play
    *    The following items were listed as junior development topics
 for a previous meeting but were not discussed in that previous meeting or
 in the present one.  These items will be covered more fully at a future
 meeting.
           *    HS League Convenor's report by Rick Klatt

           *    Fellowes HS will probably also train in
 Winter/Spring at Fellowes
           *    Fellowes/Bishop Smith HS tour to Saint John
 last week of April 2000
           *    Will be a few exhibition HS games mid-April
 to mid-May (Fellowes vrs Mackenzie, Mackenzie vrs some Ottawa HS's,
 Mackenzie at weekend tournament in Ottawa area, Mackenzie at weekend
 tournament in Toronto area)
           *    Asking Coaches to name best players
           *    Getting some kids from Renfrew County
 highschools out for EORU trials in April-May-June
           *    Possibly try a Renfrew county HS
 county-selects vrs EORU Juniors game in May
           *    UOV club Under-19 season practices start
 first week of June
           *    EORU Under-19 season starts last week of
 June, runs for 6 weeks
